SUMMARY:Integrated Visceral and Fascial Manual Therapy Course
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nHuman organs support the internal functions of life\,
while the musculoskeletal system provides the external structure that all
ows movement\, posture\, and stability. When the musculoskeletal system fu
nctions well\, it creates optimal conditions for healthy metabolism\, nerv
 ous system regulation\, breathing\, circulation\, hormonal balance\, and g
enitourinary function. Likewise\, dysfunction in internal organs can direc
tly affect movement and posture.\n\nSince 2017\, the Barral Institute Mala
ysia has been introducing the series of Barral Institute manual fascial re
lease courses\, including Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation. W
ith the addition of New Manual Articular Manipulation approaches\, therapi
sts have gained a broader perspective for evaluating and treating the body
as an integrated whole.\n\nThese manual techniques have helped clinicians
manage complex and challenging cases. However\, many therapists continue
to ask an important question:\nHow can osteopathic manual techniques be in
tegrated with physical therapy assessment\, movement training\, and exerci
se prescription?\nTo answer this need\, we are pleased to invite Dr. Rene
Assink\, an experienced clinician with a strong background in both osteopa
thy and physical therapy\, to teach his Integrated Visceral and Fascial Ma
nual Therapy Course.\n\nThis course focuses on understanding how internal
organs\, fascia\, and the neuromusculoskeletal system interact. Students w
ill learn to distinguish between injury and dysfunction and to apply a sys
temic approach to evaluation and treatment.\n\nWhile hands-on visceral and
fascial techniques can improve mobility and function\, these changes may
not last without proper support. By combining manual therapy with appropri
ate therapeutic exercise and movement training\, clinicians can help patie
nts maintain long-term improvements. This course highlights how osteopathy
and physical therapy work together to achieve more stable and meaningful
clinical outcomes.\nCourse Outcomes\nBy the end of this course\, students
will be able to:\n\n Understand the basic principles of General Osteopath
ic Techniques (GOT) and Myofascial Release (MFR)\n Evaluate and apply sho
rt-lever GOT techniques to the visceral fascial system\n Identify and tre
at long myofascial–visceral dysfunction chains\n Clearly differentiate
between injury and dysfunction\n Integrate internal organ function into a
whole-body balance and coordination model\n Recognise the relationship b
etween visceral fascia and neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction\n Develop han
ds-on assessment and evaluation skills\n Understand the role of the diaph
ragm’s central tendon in posture and the body’s central axis\n Learn
specialised techniques to address central tendon dysfunction\n Apply ther
apeutic exercises to support and maintain the effects of visceral and fasc
 ial manual therapy\n\n&nbsp\;\nWho Should Attend\n\n Physical therapists\
 n Osteopaths\n Manual therapists\n Rehabilitation professionals\n Stud
ents seeking a holistic\, systems-based approach to movement and manual th
 erapy\n
